a haynes or other vehicle/ motor repair manual should have it. The book I have (MOTOR Truck Repair Manual 28th Edition) which is older than the 305 itself showall Chevy v8's as having the same fireing order.
Cylinder #'s from front to back are
Passenger side: 2-4-6-8
Drivers side:1-3-5-7
Firing order: 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2
This is for the 350, 307, 327, 348, 409, 396, 427, 637 454
When looking at the engine from the front the disributer cap starting on the near side left and going clockwise goes 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2
The 637 is the odd one it starts from the same position going clockwise goes 4-3-6-5-7-2-1-8

The firing order is 1,3,5,7 on the drivers side and 2,4,6,8 on the passanger side, number 1 on the distributor is at the five o'clock position as you are looking at the distributor from the front. Firing order is on the intake manifold just in front of the carb.
firing order is the same for all sbc (first gen)
I need to know the firing order in a picture to find out where the #5 cylinder is
The firing order should be 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2.
