Take off the interior panel from under the back hatch behind the brake lights and pull the cable. For some stupid reason I have a problem closing the gas door on the out side. I have found that opening and closing the back hatch makes the fuel door lever work (I think from the vibration) I havent figured it out yet but I oiled all the latches today including the one behind the spare tire and am going to let them sit all night. I . If you figure it out please post.
fuel door on my 86Z won't release is there a alternate method to get it to open, or better yet a fix I can make?
The bleeder valve for fuel injection for 1986 Nissan 300ZX is located at the furthest end of the fuel rail.

If you are looking at the engine look to the left of the engine. Your fuel filter is connected to the frame with a strap.
push the fuel door in... from the left side so the right side can pop out there is no button in the interior
The fuel filter is located on the passenger side. look under the hood, it should be inline with the strut tower.
