Regarding changing/deleting partitions:

After MUCH frustration, digging, trial-and-error, I found an easy way!

The answer was to download the GParted LIVE CD from: http://gparted.sourceforge.net.

I simply inserted the GParted LIVE CD, rebooted, and -- voila! -- I could move, resize, and delete all my partitions at will!

I have a dual-boot system [both Linux and Windows]. Since the GParted Utility works directly with the hard drive partitions, it bypasses the Operating Systems contained in the partitions and so can be used with either Linux orWindows.

IMHO, the GParted utility is much easier to use then Partition Magic, and best of all, like all Open-Source programs, it is absolutely FREE! It has a nice graphical interface that is nearly idiot-proof. (Nonetheless, be sure to back up your files... just in case!)

I hope this post can help others with a similar question.

How do you delete partitions using an assembler code?

I'm Thinking you want to delete the partitions on a hard drive for a PC.. The best and easyest way to delete a partition is to down load a win 98se boot disk and delete it that way.. let the floppy read and go to the #3 then the #4 if you're using winxp.. if you're using an older system like 98se or win me, you will pick 1 not 3..
