Pop off the long inner trim strip (wood or aluminum) w/ a knife. You will see 2 screws near the center of the door, remove them. Remove the small (1.2 inch square) square plastic screw cover behind the inner door lever, and remove this screw, then gently remove the plastic trim surround. Carefully pop up the trim cover to the electric window control, lift up, then disconnect the electric control module. Then beginning at the bottom of the panel, using an upholstery tool, or a thin flat screwdriver (putty knife works well), gently lift the panel away from the door. There will be 2 clips at the bottom, and 1 each on each side. Once you have popped these out of their holes, the panel then lifts upward. Then disconnect the puddle light at the bottom of the panel, and you are done. Time involved...5 minutes.
how do remove driver door on Chevrolet aavalnche
i have a 04 and the door panel comes off easy like on most cars it has little screw clamps witch you just pop out. use some hard flat plastic wedge to get the door panel off.
I THINK THERE IS A SCREW IN THE DOOR CLOSING HANDELE AND UNDER THE SWITCH PANNEL.
You would need to remove the screws from behind the inside door handle and also the door pull. Then you should be able to pry the door panel off with a door hanel removal tool, or you can also use your hand. I've also included a link to an instructional video below, that will show you all of the steps that need to be taken.
I just removed the passenger side door panel of my '04 silverado 2500 w/power locks & windows. Yours may be slightly different. 1) Remove the triangular piece above the door panel by prying out the two corners closest to you (the third corner hooks in, you don't want to breal the hook. 2) Pry out the small odd shaped panel that surrounds the handle. Remove the screw that you exposed. 3) Pry out the manual lock escution. 4) Remove the exposed screw just above that panel. 5) On the bottom of the door panel is a single exposed screw. Remove this screw and pry out the door pockets. Note: The previous steps can be done in any order. 6) This step is a little more trickey. Pry out the end of the electric lock panel that is away from the door hinge. Do not try to pry out the other end, it is held in w/a screw on the inside. 7)Now lift the door panel up and off its hooks. 8)Disconnect the speaker wire (if any) and unscrew the screw that holds the hinge end of the power lock panel. 9) Pass the panel through the hole to free it. 10) Now you just have to disconnect the door step light (use a screwdriver to depress the locking tab) and you are home free! Good luck

The 04 is common for this if you are referring to the door panel. The wires rub the inside of the opening where it runs out of the door into the hinge area...causing it to break. If you pull the panel and inspect each wire, you will probably find one broken or shorting out against metal....so all you have to do is splice it.
Check the fuse in the panel on driver side door
No only 1995-2004 will work Pontiac sunfire doors from 95-04 will work also but the door moulding and door panel will need to be changed
