First, you have to pull the back seats down. Next you need to take the two plastic column type things covering up the rear window defroster wires. (They're held on by clips, so just pull the plastic columns.) Once you've done that you need to take off another plastic support that is found behind the rear seats if you had the seats up. it is held on by four plastic pins which can be pulled out by hand. once you've gotten the four pins out, pull the support down. next you can lift up the whole back cover that covers the speakers. (to fully take the cover off, you need to unscrew two bolts in the trunk holding the cover down. Note: they are on there pretty good.) once you've done that, you can take the speakers out. they are held in by three clips: two in the front and one in the back. next clip the wires to the speakers. take out the speakers. you may need to keep the plastic clip around the stock speakers for your new speakers so the new ones can properly fit. all you need to do is unclip the four litttle clips holding the speaker in place. now you need to wire up the speakers. in the alero, the left speaker has dark blue and light blue wires. the light blue is negative, the dark blue is positive. For the right speaker there is a yellow wire and a brown wire. yellow is negative, brown is positive. wire the speakers up and clip them down like the stock speakers and then reassemble everything else taken off. you should have a great time.

I have followed these instructions to the letter and had 100% results.

My replacement speakers I installed were a pair of KAPPA 6x9

The sound is so amazing AMAZING, I just had to do more after I heard the sound.

Now I have the Basswork ported box Model HPR12 with one MTX TT6512-04 subwoofer speaker, a pair of Kappa 6x9 don't have the model number on hand, and I have a pair of Kappa 6.5 in the front door. My amps are MTX TC2002 for the sub bridged of course and one four channel MTX TC 4004 to handle my front and rear Kappa speakers.

My Radio now is a Pioneer DEH P9800BT.

I use my car more often now and spend less time in front of my 63in LCD TV with the BOSE V20 system

Follow the instructionsand get ready to pimp your ride once you hear what a stock radio will sound like once you have good speaker. its amazing...
