Between Grip flange and throttle cable housing.
Disconnect the negative cable from the battery, Remove air filter housing, Relieve fuel pressure, wrap a shop rag around fuel line fitting before you loosen it, Disconnect vacuum lines, electrical plugs, throttle cable and fuel lines from throttle body, Remove bolts holding the throttle body to the intake manifold, Remove throttle body, Remove all of the old throttle body gasket material from both surfaces, Reverse procedure to install.
1996 3.1 litre ThermostatThe thermostat on a 3.1 litre is located under the throttle body where it connects to the intake manifold. I found it was easier to remove the throttle body when replacing the thermostat. You first have to remove the throttle cable bracket that is mounted on the throttle body. After that you will be able to see the thermostat housing. The bottom hole on the thermostat housing is slotted so you don't have to completely have to remove it. Good luck!
pull it out?
The adjustment is located underneath a rubber boot that runs along the transmission. Remove air cleaner, push the gas pedal to the floor to make sure throttle plate opens fully. Adjust the cable housing so that with the throttle wide open , the distance between the end of the rubber boot and the cable stopper is 0-0.04 in. (0-1mm)
1st check throttle housing, then if it is the cable getting stuck you can oil it a little bit
remove the bad cable and put the good one! ;-)
Most likely it is either: 1) dirt or grit inside the cable housing 2) the cable itself is frayed or bent inside the housing. If it is grit you can take the cable off and use a cable luber to clean it out, if it is kinked, toss it and get a new one.
Do you mean the IAC valve? It is locsted on the throttle body. Remove air cleaner housing and you will be able to locate 3 sensors there. The MAP sensor, TPS (throttle position sensor) and the IAC valve. The IAC is located closest to the throttle cable. Good luck!
The 1998 Honda Accord 3.0 liter engine does not have throttle cable. The automobile has throttle linkage. The linkage is connected at each end with a connecting bolt. Remove the connecting bolt to remove the linkage.
To adjust the kickdown cable, you'll need to pull up on the release and open the throttle all the way. After that, pull the outer cable housing tight and adjust the clamp. When you are finished, the outer housing should have no slack.
