pull it out?
There is not speedometer cable on a 1996 Honda Civic. There is a throttle cable. Top replace this unhook it from the throttle body and gas pedal. Hook on the new cable to snake it through the firewall. Properly hook the throttle cable to the gas pedal and throttle body.
Yes it does. It reaches from the gas pedal to the throttle body on your intake.
1996 3.1 litre ThermostatThe thermostat on a 3.1 litre is located under the throttle body where it connects to the intake manifold. I found it was easier to remove the throttle body when replacing the thermostat. You first have to remove the throttle cable bracket that is mounted on the throttle body. After that you will be able to see the thermostat housing. The bottom hole on the thermostat housing is slotted so you don't have to completely have to remove it. Good luck!
I had a stuck throttle on my 1996 Passport. The throttle cable had a piece of protective black rubber around the throttle cable between the outer cable covering and where the cable connects to the throttle body. The rubber had began to come apart and some of it was getting inside the throttle cable covering, causing the throttle cable to bind. I removed the rubber piece and cleaned out the cable by covering it with GOOF-OFF and then sliding the cable in and out until my cleaning rag was clean when I wiped off the cable. I did not replace the rubber piece and have had no problems since.
The throttle position sensor can be found on the throttle body, opposite end of the throttle cable end of throttle plate shaft.
To replace the exterior mirror on a 1996 Beretta, find a small plate on the inside of your door. Remove the screws and install the new mirror.
AnswerAT A JUNK YARD $ 334-283-4982It is not a throttle cable. It is a kick down cable that engages a lower(passing) gear when the throttle is quickly advanced. You can probably get one at Autozone or NAPA Auto Parts.
Take it to a mechanic ASAP. This is very dangerous. a cause of is the throttle cable fraying replace the throttle cable.
There is no cable, it is hydraulic operated.
Should be able to just unbolt the valve cover, remove the old gasket clear the surfaces with a rag and reinstall. Might have to disconnect the throttle/trans kickdown cable from the throttle body for room.
you must remove fabric from the upper seat there is a lock clip at the bottom of the post.. for more info... http://www.topspeedautogroup.com
On the bottom of the throttle body - look where the pedal cable meets with the throttle body - look opposite the end of the connection assembly on the other side you will see the throttle position sensor.
