I'm having the same problem...it comes and goes. I replaced the factory stereo with one from another car of the same model and it still did it. I checked the illuminator wiring and it's good so i might check all the other wires going into the stereo unit. I can only think that it is a wire that is flickering in and out of connection.

To set the appropriate code on a radio in a 2003 Honda Accord go to a dealership. Each code is made individually for every car and will need to be reprogramed by a service tech.
