The clicking sound is coming from the pawls in the one-way clutch that makes up the freewheel mechanism.

If it really annoys you, try getting hold of a "silent clutch" Shimano hub. They had their downsides, but they were quiet.

Or pull the freewheel apart, and repack it with plenty of grease.

It's a fairly fiddly process, as there's usually very little point in servicing freewheel mechanisms - but it's definitely doable w/o any heroics.

Or stop pedalling backwards, there's just not much point in it.

If you're doing technically demanding riding, there's sometimes helpful to pedal backwards maybe half a turn, to get the pedals in the preferred position before tackling an obstacle.

But you'd have to be fairly picky if a brief burst of clicking in those situations really bothers you.

Depends on where the clicking is coming from. If it's from the pedal axle, it may be adjustable. If it isn't, you need a new pedal.

What is the front end clicking noise when I let my foot off the gas pedal and decelerate my 2000 Honda crv with or without using depressing the brake pedal?

It sounds like there is a cv joint going bad. See if the noise changes as you turn the wheel while driving. If the cv joint is bad and breaks, then the vehicle will stop moving.
