Right click on a blank space on your desktop and click personalize then click on themes and at the bottom of the windows that appears click on windows 7 basic. Wait a few seconds until the theme applys then you're done.
I would use Windows Basic theme.
yes, but temporarily change your theme to windows 7 basic if it doesn't work smoothly.
Sort of. It will apply to all of your icons and windows, but it won't work with the toolbar and there may be some other glitches. Your toolbar will look like a cross between Windows 7 and 2000 with a little bit of Alienware thrown in. If/When you switch back, it'll say you're switching back to Vista and it probably won't look quite the same as what you're used to. It automatically goes to the Windows 7 Basic theme, but you can switch it to whatever theme you're used to.
If you didn't change the theme in personalize then it's probably a setting in Performance Options.Search for and run: Adjust the appearance and performance of WindowsMake sure "Use visual styles on windows and buttons" are checked.

No, it won't.
No, Windows 7 Home Basic (and Window 7 Starter) does not support themes on its own. You can, however, download and install Personalization Panel which can run themes on your Home Basic computer.
