If you are talking about the CHECK ENGINE light on the dashboard you need to have someone with an OBDII Reader plug it into the receptacle on the underside of the lower dashboard cover on the left side of the steering wheel (and to the right of the fuse panel access cover), read the OBD code to see why the check engine light is on then determine what needs to be fixed. The readers can also turn the light off, but if you don't fix what caused the check engine code, it will just come back on when that problem occurs again - usually that will happen as soon as you start the car again. OBDII codes cover a multitude of "situations" going on in the engine ... some are simple fixes (like replace the gas filler cap because it is leaking (it is a pressurized system)) other times it indicates a bad knock sensor or Oxygen sensor or many other bigger problems.
