First, and foremost, Islamic people (or Muslims) only eat with their right hand, as the right hand is used for greeting people/shaking hands, eating, etc. and the left hand is used for cleaning yourself, and is considered unclean. Pork is not consumed, as it is a cloven animal, and thought of as unclean (since pigs root around in their own feces). The animals have to have been killed according to Islamic law/belief, otherwise it cannot be consumed. All animals that are to be eaten, are to be killed in the name/honor of Allah. The animals have to have been properly killed, and cannot be consumed if they have been gorged, strangled, beaten, or have died as a result of a fall. Islamic people are also forbidden to eat any animals with canine teeth or any birds with talons. Animals that have been killed by another wild animal cannot be consumed, either. Alcohol is forbidden, as well as anything else that can cause intoxication. Blood from animals should not be consumed, either.
