you beat Archie on emerald
They fight in Sootopolis City (Japanese: ルネシティRune City) (Emerald only)
Kyogre because Kyogre is Water and Groudon is ground, which is weak to water.
You get it after seeing Groudon and Kyogre fight. Steven will lead you to the Cave of Origin. Go deeper into the cave and you will need HM Flash to proceed. You will find HM 07 there.
You can fight in the battle tower, catch the three regis, search for latios/latias, or in emerald you can catch groudon and kyogre
Kyogre and Groudon fight when they are awoken because millions of years ago (in the Pokemon universe) Kyogre was born in a deep ocean trench, Groudon was formed underground in pools of magma, and Rayquaza was born out of minerals (like ozone) in the air. Kyogre and Groudon went on to expand the seas and land, respectively. Rayquaza however, went around to aimlessly fly in the air. Whilst Groudon and Kyogre were expanding their domains, they met, and instantly became rivals. They fought for millions of years, expanding the seas and land and having apocalyptic battles. Suddenly Rayquaza dove out of no where, and put them both into "eternal slumber" so they would stop fighting. No one won the fight, which is why when Archie wakes them up in Emerald, they fight.
In Ruby and Sapphire, you are required to do so to fight Rayquaza. In Emerald, it isn't, as you can fight Rayquaza after stopping the conflict between Groudon and Kyogre.
In emerald, when you get to Sootopolis (however you spell it) city, where you get your 8th badge, but it's after you find the underground cavern and defeat maxie or archie, i dont remember which, Steven will show up and tell you to meet him in Sootopolis. Then, when you get there, you'll see Kyogre and Groudon in the center of the city fighting. This only happens on Emerald.
Not really. They're mostly alike because they're 3rd gen, are set in Hoenn, and are playable for the GBA. They're different for these reasons: . Pokemon character sprites that move is exclusive to emerald . You fight both team magma and aqua in emerald. In sapphire, you can only fight team aqua . In emerald, the gym leaders have different Pokemon and are also rematchable . Different champions( Ruby-Sapphire:Steven /Emerald: Wallace) . Battle frontier: only available in Emerald .you catch kyogre in sapphire. In Emerald, you catch Rayquaza and then Groudon/Kyogre after completing the main story .In Emerald, Groudon and Kyogre get in a fight and are stopped by Rayquaza (improved storyline) . Male and Female protagonists have different outfits than in ruby and sapphire .different opening titles . Slightly improved graphics . "trainer's eyes" in RS is replaced by "match call" in Emerald. Match call functions similar to the pokegear And that's it. Let me know if I'm forgetting anything
Find rayquaza at the top of sky pillar.
He goes to sootopolis city...once you get to sootopolis you will see a video showing rayquaza ordering groudon and kyogre to stop their fight...then he returns back to SKY PILLAR.
In ruby and sapphire, this is where you will fight either Groudon or Kyogre (both level 45) after finding them in Seafloor Cavern and fighting either Team Magma or Team Aqua. In emerald, this is where you tell Wallace where Rayquaza is. So yes for ruby and sapphire, and no for emerald.
