No one knows how the world has begun. Only the the ONE (God ) who has created it, knows about it.

as written by "Guru Nanak Dev ji" in "Jap Ji Sahib"

"Kavan su vela wakhat kavan,

Kavan thit kavan waar,

kavan se rutti maah kavan,

jit hoa aakaar"

vel na paiya pandti je hove lekh puraan.

Wakht na payeo kadian, je likhan lekh kuran"

Thit waar na koi Jane ,

rutt maah na koi .

Ja karta sirthi kao saaje, aape Jane soi."

Means:

What was that time, and what was that moment?

What was that day, and what was that date?

What was that season, and what was that month,

when the Universe was created?

The Pandits, the religious scholars, cannot find that time, otherwise they would have written in the Puraanas.

That time is not known to the Qazis, who study the Koran, other wise it would have been there in Koran.

The day and the date are not known to the Yogis,

nor is the month or the season.

"The Creator who created this creation-only He Himself knows."

Thanks.

Sikhs believe in just one God. This God is eternal and everlasting. Their God is not male nor female, and he respects everyone, just as Guru Nanak had said. The two edged sword on the Khanda (Sikh Symbol), represents Gods power. The circle on the Khanda represents that God is one.

Although the concept of creation in Sikhism is not of grave importance as it causes a lot of quarreling between religions, the Sikh idea of creation was as follows:

Which Thou created on and on,

Then rolled them out into space,

The divisions3, the orbs4, the universes5,

All they sing Thy glory and grace; (6 : 11)

God created the Universe with his divine Hukam (Command), And behold! There came light. And God was in love with his creation, as his creation was in love with its divine master as well.
