You will need a special "tool" that is very cheap, it is also the same thing you use to remove AC lines etc. You can do it with a screwdriver but you may damage things. You may have to be quite forceful and if you are not experienced you can damage the fuel lines. Push in the tool and twist the filter and pull, keep at it. I just have the oil change guys do it, life is too short.

The fuel filter on a 1993 G20 van should be located on the vans frame. It is an inline type and should be easy to change.
