Replacing the turn signal switch on most vehicles uses basically the same procedure. YOu have to open the center of the steering wheel. This is probably better left to a dealer or qualified mechanic. Vehicles equipped with air bags (which all are today) require extra precaution when doing this because the air bag module in the steering wheel needs to be removed.
You may find that the turn signal switch in the steering wheel is bad.
change the temp setting on the heater a/c control head
the relays are on the engine side firewall. The compressor relay signal comes from the main computer through the pressure cycling switch or switches.
I'm not sure what you are asking... If your turn signals are not working for either direction, your "flasher unit" is probably the problem. (really cheap and easy to replace) If one signal is working and the other is not, then one of the bulbs are burnt out. If I am not understanding your actual question... I'm sorry.
should be under the hood.
1998 olds 88 turn signal left turn not working
Turn signal switch.
With the key in the "on" position, turn the signal switch to the turning direction that is ***not***the problem. Check the front and rear of the car so you know which lights are flashing. Now switch the turn signal switch to the bad side and compare the lights that are illuminated (but not flashing) to the side that was working. One or more of the bulbs are out and will not be illuminated. Change that bulb (s).
Check bulbs - double filamented with smaller being for brake light and turn signal Bad switch? Bad turn signal flasher?
If its a Olds Cutlass Supreme, its a fairly easy process. Grab the turn signal stalk firmly near its base. Gently wiggle, and slightly twist while pulling it out. Replace with the new stank and plug in the small plug at the base of the stalk. And your done If you are talking about a Olds Cutlass Ciera, its not a easy process, and I pay to get it done.
1992 olds Achieva does not have that switch. ECM receive signal from the coolant temperature sensor and send command to relay #6 for turn on/off the radiator fan. Relay #6 is located in the motor compartment on the fireboard.
it is on recall---see recall list via web---dealer will do it for you
