I hate it when girls ask their friends to ask me out for them. It's really endearing to ask him out on your own. And you can't really go wrong with asking out a guy, they'll be so shocked and glad that you're asking him out, that he won't notice if all you say is "do you want to go out with me?" You don't have to be too creative.
