Guinea pigs are constipated if they don't have enough water or too much dry food. Give them tomatoes or cucumber even some fresh grass and they'll soon be OK. Give your guinea pig lots of fruits. Try romaine lettuce with a bit of olive oil. If your guinea pig refuses to eat Give it a bit of olive oil or mineral water through a syringe. If your guinea pig does not start producing regular stools an hour or two after take it to the vet as it can become serious.
It is great to have two guinea pigs!!! They are extremely social animals. If they are alone for too long, they can become depressed and lonely.
all mammals can become inbred, but the results vary...
DO NOT feed a guinea pig when it has a cold. becuase it can become very runny.
No!!!!!!!They are actually part of the rodent family.
Actually, iceberg lettuce has no nutritional value, but it can make your guinea pig gassy and constipated. I recommend not feeding them iceberg lettuce, but rather replace it with romaine lettuce.
No.
They have very good hearing and excellent sight.
Guinea pigs from separate litters that are about three months and younger can be housed together. However, if the guinea pigs are older and from different litters or if one guinea pig is older and from a litter separate from a younger guinea pig, then one or both of the guinea pigs may become stressed or jealous. This can also become dangerous because some guinea pigs may try to fight each other. The two guinea pigs should be placed in separate cages. So that they can become more familiar with each other, maybe they can be placed together in a play area for a few minutes. If one or both of the guinea pigs become stressed or attempts to attack the other one, then they should be placed back in their separate cages until they have time to calm down. It's possible that the older guinea pig will become use to the younger one, but both guinea pigs should be supervised while they're together so that there won't be any problems.
I have three
Guinea pigs were first introduced as domestic pets by traders in the Netherlands in 1670.
Not sure, but guinea pigs aren't type of pigs. They're in the rodents family, and NOT pigs. Hope this helped?
