Getting a gal to accept an apology is sometimes tricky. At times all you can do is wait out the emotional storm you've caused. Sometimes it takes a physical gesture,...a nice bunch of flowers or the like. In this case if you make such a gesture I would make it so it concerns the kids, take everyone out to Pizza and a movie and give BOTH kids a big handfull of quarters to play Video Games, etc.
