It does it on its own, just add fluid, If it was VERY LOW, There may be air in the system, Add fluid, start the engine, turn the wheel both ways till it gets turned all the way, do this about 5 to 10 times slowly. then wait about 2 to 4 hours, check the fluid. add as needed. It should be good to go. The air will not get out of the fluid while the engine is running, So if air is present, You must wait.
