On the right hand side of the engine, behind the round part of the case that sticks out with the plastic "YAMAHA" badge on it, and directly above the rear brake pedal linkage, there's a round cover with three allan head bolts holding it on. Remove these three bolts. Pull the old filter out. On the new filter, there will be one end with a solid round rubber gasket on it. On the other end, there will be a rubber washer with 4 slots in it. Put the end with the slots in it in first. Put the cover back on and tighten up the bolts. Put your drain plug in and make sure it's tight. Put 2.1 Liters of oil in the motor and you're good to go.
yes it has an internal oil filter
The Yamaha 250 series of motorcycles has the oil filter on the right hand side of the motor, and between the two cylinders. There will be plate with three screws that says "Yamaha" on it. Once the cover is removed you will have access to the oil filter which can be removed and replaced manually.
where is the oil filter on a 1989 yamaha motto 4
on the engine......stupid.
Next to foot brake lever there is a 3 allen head bolts remove those oil filter inside
1litre or 1.2 with new oil filter
3.35 litres without oil filter change 3.5 litres with oil filter change
3500 milliliters without change oil filter and 3800 milliliters with change oil filter
you dont... ther is no oil filter... Wrong.
The 250 virago holds 1.9 quarts of oil total. This includes the oil in the filter. The system holds 1.5 quarts not including filter.
2 liters if you dont change oil filter ....if you change filter also it is 2.3 liters
The oil filter is located at the back of the Yamaha but be careful because you could seriously injur yourself when trying to change the filter of the oil because it's bad.
