Cleaning a VCR isn't difficult once you know the way it's done. The biggest problem would be in cleaning the video heads because they can be destroyed very easily by inexperienced hands.
One of the easiest ways would be to locate a 3M brand `Blackwatch' cleaning tape or to find one where you apply a liquid to a cloth type tape, as a last resort. Personally, I prefer the Blackwatch, but the best is to have it professionally done if you can afford it.
If it wasn't for the ease of destroying the video heads, I'd give you step by step on how to do it. However, if you search the internet, you should be able to find instructions on how it's done.
DVD cleaners are usually a disk that contains some type of soft bristled brush which wipes across the laser assembly, wiping the dust off the lens.
I've got reservations about this type of cleaner, as I've had to replace many lenses because the brush knocked them off.
Use at your own risk.
And always use of a good company.
Saturate a soft cellulose sponge in water containing a little mild dish soap then squeeze out most of the soapy water. Wipe all surfaces of the CD or DVD thoroughly in a motion from the center towards the edge to remove dirt and film then rinse under a stream of lukewarm water. Finish by wiping dry, again radially and not concentrically, with a lint free hand towel.
There are kits for re-polishing data disks which, if used carefully according to the instrctions, will work quite well.
DVDs are actually very resilient. I wash mine like they're dishes. A little warm water and dish soap and pat dry with clean soft towel.
acually believe it or not... rubbing achohol works really well. just take a cotton swab dap it on there and rub.. its wont take the scratches off. but it usally lets you atleat play it

Currently, no. You should get a PS3 to do that.
It reads the discs whether they are CD DVD or BluRay, it can not write or burn discs
No. A standard DVD disk does not have the capacity to record a movie in BluRay format.
disk maintenance is jst like a disk clean up
In the lighthouse, on the left side of the stage, there is a cleaning spray and a napkin. Clean the disk using it.
buy disk cleaner from the store.

As with all systems, your disk is probably dirty. Clean it and try again.
There are several mass storage mediums that may be described as a disk (or disc), including floppy-disk, hard-disk and optical disc (CD-ROM, DVD, BluRay). Solid-state drives such as flash drives are not disks; there are no moving parts.
Of course, but not bluray. For that you have to get special software, AND a blu ray disk reader. It's probably not worth it if you can just buy one for your tv
