There are usually 2 square headed bolts, 1 on each side at the base of the engine. Some will have a hose, others will have a quick release type fitting while most are just the bolts. Remove that square bolt and get ready to catch the oil.
The way to drain gasoline from a Briggs and Stratton lawn mower is to take the oil cap off and drain the oil. From there, run a rubber hose into the drain and siphon the rest of the oil and gas out.

Far easier to drain old oil through filler tube, remember to always keep cylinder head [spark plug end] pointing up when tipping mower.
i just take the cap off and tip them to the side into a drain pan, most of them have a plug on the bottom, but easier through the fill tube
There is usually a square 1/2 inch plug under the crank-case to drain the oil. The you replace it with the correct amount.
That is not the sears part number. Drain it and wash it out with mineral spirits and drain again. Reinstall two days later or go to a lawnmower shop or auto parts store and find one to replace it.
there should be a drain plug under the mower where the blades are. to fill it is on the top where you check the oil. there is a drain plug under the mower where the blade is. to fill it is where you chech your oil. Many mowers do not have a drain plug, simply remove the dipstick and tip the mower on its side and dump it out the filler tube into a proper container.
There is a large allen head pipe threaded set screw (oil Plug) located in a hole under the engine . Remove to drain oil. Becarefull when replacing plug not to over tighten it will crack the case if you turn in to tight.
