It is not an oil level sensor it is an oil pressure sensor. It just unscrews.
If the transmission won't shift out of first gear on a 1992 Buick Roadmaster, it could indicate the transmission gears are seized. It can also indicate a low fluid level.
Oil level sensor is on side of oil pan.

It is in the passenger side coolant tank on the radiator. If the light is on and the coolant is at the proper level then the sensor is defective. To replace it you will have to drain the radiator. Disconnect the wire and remove the clip and remove the sensor.

If oil level is ok - could be a bad sensor
The coolant level sensor is about three inches below the coolant cap on the back side of the radiator. It is a 1.5 X 1.5 inch box with an electrical plug going into the bottom of it.
