When replacing the rear light bulbs open the rear hatch look at the tail light assembly, you will see small bolts securing the assembly to frame. Also look between the bumper & light assembly, you will see a lower bolt attaching to frame. remove bolts, gently tug assembly upward & outward. look at the back you will see the sockets that the bulbs go in. To remove twist the socket to remove from assembly-replace with correct type bulb-have someone apply brakes or turn on the light to verify you have fixed problem-once corrected reassembly in reverse order. To replace the brake light bulb you need to remove the whole light assembly. Once removed the change is simple.

Just unscrew the rear brake light, turn out the socket, and replace the bulb.
OPen the rear hatch. I believe there are 3 maybe 4 bolts that screw in around the light housing. Remove them and pull the housing out. Turn the burnt bulb out and replace everything in reverse order.
