remove the plug wires from it. then disconnect the 2 wiring harnessed from the back side of it. lastly remove the 3 12mm bolts that are holding it to the head. pull it out then replace with new dizzy and reverse order the removal process.
The 1989 Honda Civic is not equipped with an EGR valve.

It's possible to swap in a B20 series motor from a 3rd gen Prelude to a 5th gen Civic. However, it would be more practical (and easier to swap in) a D-series motor which there are multiple variants for the Civic between the late '80s into the '90s.
The accelerator linkage is binding.
