Pulling a box across ice requires less force than pushing the same box across carpet. This is due to the amount of friction between the carpet and box and the lack of friction between the ice and the box.
Yes, it can.
Work, more specifically "positive" work because the box moved in the direction in which the force was applied.
it reads a predetermined temparature set and closes the circiut to cool the area down, by a fan or whatever is hooked up to the thermostat switching.
work = force x Distance so any force is supplied to move an object is work. Push a box and the box moves.
remove glove box. disconnect harnesses and remove evaporator and thermostat is behind it. remove glove box. disconnect harnesses and remove evaporator and thermostat is behind it.
Bring the fat guy a box of dounuts and ask him nicely to leave the thermostat alone. If that doesn't work report him to the boss.
The thermostat on a fiesta zetec engine is under the air box. The air box and splash guard will need to be removed for access.

There are two types of thermostats. One is line voltage and will require a splice be made in the old thermostat junction box . From the old box a new cable has to be pulled to the new thermostat junction box. This wire must be of the same size as the existing wire. The other type of thermostat is low voltage thermostat. This uses usually # 22 size wire and because it operates on low voltage it does not need a junction box to make a splice in. Solder and tape the new wire on to the old piece and then take it to where the new thermostat is to be located.
yes Thermostat has no effect on A/C
I changed the thermostat last night Dec 30 2007 Follow the upper radiator hose on the drivers side near the air filter box Remove the air filter box housing for better room to work in Remove the upper radiator hose at the thermostat housing Remove the 2 bolts and the thermostat housing should come loose Remove the old thermostat and scrap off the old gasket Install the new thermostat and new gasket and screw in the 2 bolts Remember when u install the new thermostat make sure the clip is in the groove.

I don't know about the 4 Cylinder, but the 2.5L V6 1999 626 has the thermostat on the lower hose area, where it attaches to the engine/thermostat housing. To replace it, I had to take the entire air box out. It took a bit of work. You also need to take off the heat pipe mount attached to the engine in order to pull the thermostat housing apart. Not the easiest job for a thermostat replacement.
have you changed the battery in the thermostat?
