Where is the thermostat and how do you replace on a 1999 Mazda 626?

I don't know about the 4 Cylinder, but the 2.5L V6 1999 626 has the thermostat on the lower hose area, where it attaches to the engine/thermostat housing. To replace it, I had to take the entire air box out. It took a bit of work. You also need to take off the heat pipe mount attached to the engine in order to pull the thermostat housing apart.
Not the easiest job for a thermostat replacement.
