Actually, there was only one religion in the world-Islam.Then a prophet of Islam-Isa(Jesus) was worshipped by his society, this was the coming of Christianity.Judaism was formed when the Jews mocked Jesus and worshipped Ozair -also a messenger of God.This is how Islam split into these religions.

Does belief solve the problems of sins and suffering and how to live in harmony with others in Judaism?

In Judaism, belief is very important but does not by itself absolve sins or obviate judgment. Belief in Judaism is one important part, and the Torah's (other) parts and laws are also important. One tries to keep as much of the Torah as possible, belief included. Sins are dealt with through teshuva: regretting the sin, declaring to God (such as in the prayers) one's intention of not sinning further; and following through on that intent. Living in harmony with others is one of the greatest tests in life. Judaism's teachings do their best to push us in that direction through thousands of sayings, verses and exhortations, but ultimately it comes down to one's own behavior and decisions: mind over body and emotions. Living in harmony is made up of many, many little tests; if we fail one of them, we should apologize and try to improve.

How did Muhammad's teachings compare to Judaism and Christianity How did they contrast with common Arab beliefs of the time?

A:Islam accepts the prophets of Judaism, as well as Christianity's John the Baptist. Of course, only Islam teaches that Muhammad was the last prophet of God. Early Muslims accepted the Old Testament view that Abraham was told to sacrifice Isaac, but the consensus of later Islamic scholars is that it must have been Ishmael whom Abraham was to kill. This encouraged suspicion among Muslims that the Jews altered their own holy books to glorify Judaism. In most ways, Islam is more similar to Christianity than to Judaism. For example, Islam shares with Christianity a belief in hell and a belief that Satan is the evil adversary of God.Islam believes that Jesus had a divine role. Although not divine himself, Jesus was one of the great prophets, a view not shared by Judaism. The consequence of this belief is that Islam is closer to Judaism in one respect - they are both more strongly monotheistic than Christianity because of Christianity's belief in the divinity of Jesus (and of the Holy Spirit).Unique to Islam among the Abraham religions is belief in jinn. These were pre-Islamic spirits that are mostly evil but can be good.

What religions are monotheist?

Monotheism refers to the belief in a single, universal God. Common examples are Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Forms of monotheism can also be found in other religions including Sikhism, Zoroastrianism and the Bahá'í Faith. Zoroastrianism is considered by many scholars to be the earliest example of monotheistic belief. Others consider Judaism to be the original form of monotheism, while others yet think it originated in Egypt. It is not to be confused with henotheism (the belief in one god over and above other gods that exist). Another source of confusion are claims by representatives of some religions that other religions are not monotheistic because the latter do not adhere to some specific criteria defined by the former.

Do the Islams have a belief system?

First of all, Islam is a religion, and there are no such things as "Islams." Muslims are followers of Islam. And yes, of course Muslims have a belief system. Islam is considered to be one of the Abrahamic Religions, the others being Christianity and Judaism. The beliefs of Muslims are actually quite similar to those of Christians and Jews. So the short answer is yes.
