They spend a lot of time with that person and become too attached or begin to depend upon this other significant "other" to such a degree that they tend to convince
themselves and quite possibly the other as well, that they believe or viewing other as becoming Their own personal desire and which becomes an affliction, which if not corrected or relieved to a certain degree through intervention or treatment, thereby turning into a very ugly addiction in the end...
From my own previous experience with this sort of scenario (which is basically nil except for a few wrecked relationships, I surely am no therapist to be taking any sorta of advice from!) they nearly all have the tendency to fail & fall apart, almost always leads to a break in the bond that had been formed, but, is now ruptured and forever lost to each.

∙ 10y agoWhen someone is obsessed it can mean quite a few different things, for example if it's someone obsessing over a band, a young teenage girl for example there is nothing to worry about they just look up to these people. however, if it's an everyday person obsessing over another person they are near or have met online then you should think more about their mental state and they just can't help themselves they wont stop because well they get a kick out of stalking your every move.
