∙ 14y agoPeople modify the environment by cutting down forests to make cities, using water from the Ogallala Aquifer, building mine shafts and mining for minerals, drilling oil for gasoline, digging dams to help control flooding, and MORE! Just think about it. I mean, we do it ALL the time!

They modify it by tearing down beutiful forests, lakes and rivers to build buildings, highways, dams and roads.

∙ 9y agoThere are a lot of poor people in India that are farmhands. These people do not own land, and work for very little pay. India is a country that is developing in business. Some people want to make highways to be able to commute easily in India. If the highways are built, farmland will decrease. As a result the people who work as farmhands will lose their income. This has a negative effect on the people who depend on their environment for survival.
