North Africans are usually of Arabian descent, and because of the saharan desert, there is a huge culture difference in the two areas. North Africa does not have the epidemics/ diseases, and issues that Sub- saharan Africa does, because they do not have the same type of government. There is a lot more technology and education in North Africa, while Sub- Saharan Africa is more tribal.
People in North Africa tend to have a more Arab-Berber cultural influence due to historical interactions with the Arab world, while people in the sub-Sahara have more diverse ethnic backgrounds with various indigenous tribes. Additionally, North Africans mostly practice Islam, while the sub-Sahara has a mix of religions including Islam, Christianity, and traditional African religions. Geographically, North Africa is more connected to the Middle East and Mediterranean region, while the sub-Sahara is located south of the Sahara desert with different environmental and climatic conditions.
Humans, most people believe that human life originated in Africa. Then expanded from there up into Europe and Asia. People crossed over from Siberia into North America on a land bridge, but soon afterward the land bridge disappeared under water, cutting North Americans off until the Europeans discovered the continent. So, no one specific "race" of humans is the oldest, but the common belief is that humans came from Africa.
"Africans" refer to people who are native to the continent of Africa. "African-Americans" are descendants of Africans who were captured and brought to America as slaves. "European Africans" could refer to white people who were born or live in Africa, but are of European descent.
The first humans lived in Africa about 3.6 million years ago. When these early humans were alive, the migrated to either follow migrating animals that they hunted for food, or they ran out resources on the old land and they lived on. From Africa they migrated to Europe, from Europe to Asia, Asia to North America, and from there to South America.
Homo Sapiens originate from Africa, Europe, and Asia. They spread to Australia and then North America during the Ice Age. This was due to land bridges being formed during this time period. South America was only connected to North America, so to reach this continent the Homo Sapiens had to first pass through North America (which is what they did).
Slavery in Africa predates European involvement, with various reasons such as labor needs, tribal warfare, and social status contributing to its existence. Some African societies practiced slavery as a means of economic production, while others used it as a way to integrate captives into the community or as a form of prestige or power. The transatlantic slave trade later intensified and expanded the institution of slavery in Africa.
