Push pops can either be ice cream or hard candy. Ice cream is a solid a cold tempertaures, but a liquid at room temperature (it is mostly milk poroducts, liquid color and flavoring, and sugar). As it warms up, it will melt.
Candy push pops are mostly sugar, with added coloring and flavors. Often the sugar is corn syrup or other liquid sugars. These, along with regular sugar, have a low melting point. When it get warm, the sugar will begin to turn first into a sticky gel and then to a liquid.
Popsicle's melt because they are made out of water.
Dude, you DO know that Push Pops are candy, right? Of course there's no pork in them!!!
Ice melts at a standard rate proportional to itself, so if all ice pops are the same size they will melt at the same rate. However if some brands have wider ice pops than others, they will melt slower.
I don't believe they do
Ice pops do. One of the colligative properties of solutions is that more solute depresses the freezing point (dT=(c)(Kf)(i)). This means that ice pops (which have sugars and food coloring dissolved within) freeze at lower temperatures, so they also melt at lower temperatures. Therefore, at the same temperature ice pops will melt faster than pure ice.
