The fuel pump on a 2005 Nissan Xterra is changed by lowering the gas tank and disconnecting the wiring to the pump. It is then unbolted from the tank and a new pump put into place.

I own a 2001 maxima se and put 1995 rims on it during the winter. You can do the oposit.
Many reasons. Can you be more specific. What exactly is happening? It could be a bad starter. It could be something wrong with your fuel injectors. It could be an issue with the spark plugs / distributor. It could be that the switch that is activated when the car is put into park or neutral is broken if it is an automatic. Or if it was a manual it could be that the switch that the clutch activates when pushed in is broken. The list goes on. You need to be more specific.
You have to go under the car and remove the plug, there is one at the bottom this is the drain and there is one on the side of the transmission.
