just use automatic trans fluid. I think its dextron III. It's the same trans fluid that you'd put in a 04 Xterra trans. --dealership technician

i have a 2001 Nissan altima and the power window switch had a problem... only the drivers window had a problem. I took it to the dealor b/c there is a recall on the power window switches and they replaced all 4 for free. Not sure if the 2000 year has the same recall, but it's worth checking out.

Depends on the laws in your state. In my state any licensed dealer selling a used car must give a 30 day 50/50 warranty. It all depends on what, if any, warranty was given by the seller on this vehicle. If you bought it "AS IS" then there is no warranty in most cases. Do you have a warranty in writing or verbally? If not, then more than likely it is your responsibility. Of course you can always ask the seller nicely to help with the repairs.

i had the same problem on my 97 Honda civic lx. the check engin elight came on adn i called my dealor(aka my best friend) he said just unplug the battery for like 2 min or so and the brain wil restet itself. This is incorrect. Yes the procedure is the same for 1996-2000. See them below: These are the instructions out of the Honda Service Manual for 1996-2000 Civics: 1.) Make sure the ignition switch is OFF. 2.) Connect the SCS service connector to the MES connector. Do not use a jumper wire. 3.) Turn the ignition switch ON. 4.) The SRS indicator light comes on for about six second and goes off. Remove the SCS service connector from the MES connector within 4 seconds after the SRS indicator light went off. 5.) The SRS indicator light comes on again. Reconnect the SCS service connector to the MES connector within 4 seconds after the SRS indicator light comes on. 6.) The SRS indicator light goes off. Remove the SCS service connector from the MES connector within 4 seconds. 7.) The SRS indicator light indicates that the memory is erased by blinking two times. 8.) Turn the ignition swith OFF, and wait for ten seconds. Ok first you're asking what the SCS service connector is. Basically it's a jumper wire. It just has a connector so you can easily connect and disconnect it. You can in fact you a jumper wire. It just might make it a little more difficult. Now you want to know where there MES connector is. It's a yellow 2 wire connector located underneath the dashboard near the fuse panel.
