The remora sucks on to the shark using a pad on its back like a suction cup. It can breathe because as the shark swims through the water it pushes the water through the remora's gills. Which lets it absorb the oxygen out of the water to breathe.

∙ 12y agoThe remora or suckerfish eat the remains of food that the shark does not eat or the feces of the shark. This type of relationship is considered commensalism. Some specific species of the remora eat parasites off of the shark and bacteria living on it. In this case, the relationship becomes one of mutualism.
