The easiest way to fix frayed curtains is to take them down and hem them up another eighth on an inch or so until the fray no longer shows. You will need pins and a needle and thread.
Try wrapping it in electrical tape... depending on what is wrong with it, remove it from the battery and clean the terminals, splice the wire if broken, or remove it from where it connects on the other end and clean and reassemble. a ground wire isn't that big a deal.

Hi, if you mean an electrical short, then you first need to find where it is coming from. I would give all the wires and visual inspection and if that doesn't work, it is best to use a multi meter and start testing each wire. Once you find the short, you might have to think ofyour own fix but some general ways are to either replace the wire or if the wire is just missing its insulation you can use some electric tape tape it up. If you have any wires that are lose or any that are frayed, I would find a way to tighter it up or just replace the wire. You might be able to buy a wire harness and change it out and have this fix it also, but it also might not. If you do replace a wire, go with either the same size and type of wire or go thicker, never go smaller. Sorry, with the little information I had I could only give geneal help.
