Don't bet the farm on my answer here. And don't take this verbatim.
I'm having an issue with mine as well. When I asked around I was told that in this particular model car has something a little different on it. The spindle is left threaded, and to even remove the bearing to get it fixed, it requires a left threaded disposable nut for the spindle after replacement. Unfortunately since this was the only model they used reversed threading on. They don't manufacture those nuts anymore. And since they are disposable, if you try to get one off of another car. It will just break. In fact they were designed to break when removed (Hence "Disposable"). So the only option I was told I have was to have a whole new spindle welded on with the normal threading. Then move on to the bearing, brakes, ect. (My issue is on the rear driver side)
Front or rear?
you have to remove the dash and every thing attached to it. Is it the same for a 1988 Mazda 929?
They are pressed in and need to be either pressed out and in on the vehicle or remove the spindle and brought to a press to do this.
Wheel balance or drive shaft balance. Could be bearings also.
ChecksIf it is a front wheel drive car, better check the wheel bearings, they sound kind of dry and you don't want them coming loose while driveing, ,,if it is a rear wheel drive, you might check the wheel bearings and check the differential and make sure it has differential oil in it
Front or rear?? 4x4 or 4x2??
You have to pull the steering wheel off to get the whole turn signal stat out and replace the whole thing.
The transmission has to be removed. Once the trnsmission is removed the fly-wheel is right there to be removed.
Check wheel bearings, rack ends, ball joints, shocks and springs. Or maybe adjust the play in your steering box (if applicable) or rebuild it
There should be two on each side, outer and inner. There would be a big nut and cotter pin assembly that hold them inside the hub
complicated
You don't. If the axle beam is bent you replace it, if the frame is bent you sell it CHEAP and FAST.
