That is a very simple question...turtles hide in their shells in the winter or dig in the ground. You see when turtles hide in their shells they are like a big ball of skin and they stay warm, just like when people curl up in bed with their blanket.

Turtles keep warm - by absorbing heat from the sun (or an artificial heat source in captivity)
they have central heating installed in their shell
but occasionally that backfires and the turtle ends up being cooked
pity...
You keep them warm by putting them in an incubator.
because of the shell
Turtles are supriseingly cold blooded
Yes, red eared sliders do hibernate only in the winter and if you keep your turtle inside then it should not hibernate if you keep your turtles warm.
some kind of are. Sea turtles and sea snakes use the water and sunlight to keep warm or cool down.
They would drown if they hibernated under water.
Turtles warm themselves by staying in the sun.
Turtles bury themselves to keep warm. Turtles cannot generate heat on their own so they depend on the land to keep them warm. So they will go under rock, leafs, and sometimes the ground (if they are living outside). If they are inside under the proper heating they shouldn't be buring themselves. If they are i would take them to a vet and have them checked for the flu. Hope this helped ;)
Yes, some turtles do. Sometimes to keep warm and to keep them away from preditors.
ea turtles are turltes that are warm blooded by;tiyae cunningham
Turtles have their eggs in the sand, they dig a very deep hole (it is more long the wide) and lay their eggs in it (they dig the hole deep so it will keep the eggs warm) they then cover up the hole again and leave.
Reptile such as turtles, lizards, and snakes are cold blooded.
Well to begin with, the turtle digs a hole and lays her eggs inside it. Unlike chickens and birds, turtles dont sit on their eggs to keep them warm, the sand does it for them. BTW Incubate: Sit on eggs in order to keep them warm and bring them to hatching OR Keep eggs at a suitable temperature in order for them to develop.
I believe it's better if turtles are in cold water. I suppose it's okay to put turtles in warm water - just don't place them in hot water.
