The main nutritional content of most meats are protein, iron and fat. There are many foods that contain these things, and can easily be substituted for meat.
Protein can be found in eggs, cheese and pulses.
Iron can be found in chick peas, bran flakes, spinach and other dark green leafy veg, etc.
Fat can be found in anything greasy! Chips/fries, nuts and seeds, cooking oils, etc.
Preference/TasteAnd if you're referring to the taste, vegetarians often don't like or want the meaty taste and texture. Those that do have another reason to exclude it that's important to them, sometimes moral or religious or environmental. For some it's hard to imagine, but it's the same as some people not liking toast or not wanting to drink alcohol.
A lot of people might see it as an unbalanced diet, but vegetarians are generally healthier because they're more thoughtful about what they eat. They're often no more likely to become weak or anaemic for this reason.
Vegetarians survive quite well without eating meat or dairy products.
Vegetarians are overall healthier than meat eaters! Every nutrient found in meat also has a vegetarian source (where do you think the animals get them from?)--for example:
Protein: Beans, whole grains, nuts and seeds. Some vegetarians include eggs and dairy products in their diet.
Fats--plentiful in the vegetable kingdom
Vitamins and minerals--all are available in plant form.
There are tons of books, articles, and internet resources for vegetarianism. The more informed you are, the better food choices you can make.
Millions of people are vegetarian. Many people converted from meat eating to a healthier vegetarian based diet. Try going vegetarian in steps, not all at one time. Becoming vegetarian is a good move towards good health.
Vegetarians choose not to eat meat for many reasons. Some people were raised in a vegetarian family and have never eaten meat. Some abstain for religious reasons. Others abstain for ethical reasons: they don't believe that it is okay for humans to kill animals. Many people become vegetarian for health reasons: vegetarian (especially vegan) diets are lower in cholesterol and higher in fiber and many vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Still other people abstain from eating meat because meat production takes a large toll on the environment, and grains and legumes used to feed livestock could go a long way to solving human hunger.
That's the point of vegetarianism....vegetarians don't eat meat.
They eat like other people, except they don't eat animals, including fish, shrimp, etc.
People eat beef because it is important to our diet. Also you can't live without meat. It is not good to. Sorry to the vegetarians.
almost everything just no meat xD you can almost make everything without meat or with a soja burger/meatreplacer
No
Meat
On their own, no. Vegetarians still have to wash the dishes and do laundry all the same that meat-eaters do. A vegetarians water-footprint (like a carbon footprint, but for water and water resources) might be a bit smaller than a meat-eaters because they will not have the water needed to raise live stock involved.
Pescatarians eat fish meat, vegetarians don't eat any meat.
I suppose so, because what I learned about vegetarians is that they don't eat meat. Grain Is not meat.
True vegetarians eat none at all. Some avoid red meat only, but are not vegetarians in the strict sense of the term.
No, vegetarians do not eat any kind of meat.
Meat doesn't have fiber in it. Vegetarians eat foods high in fiber.
vegetarians
Vegetarians are people who do not eat meat, so it would not be good for them to consume chicken, which is a type of meat.
