Ok, first of all, none of the "Be yourself" stuff. That never works. The reason you're asking this is probably because being yourself hasn't worked.

Make-up:

Wear light make-up. For makeup that shows off your eye color, search it on he net. All I know is to never wear bright colors. Eyeliner is a big no for school. Wear that at night when you're out. Just stick with lipgloss, eyeshadow (for your eye color), mascara, a concealer (that's your right color), and some blush. In the winter, wear chapstick underneath the gloss to prevent chapped lips.

Clothing:

I recommend anything that's comfortable. Popular brands are Aeropstale, American Eagle, and Abercrombie. I you don't like brand-new clothes (I find it a little uncomfortable when they're new because you have to "break them in"), scour the racks at Thrift stores like Salvation Army, Value Village, or support your local small thrift shops. I've been lucky there. There's a store called "Talize" and I found a white A E hoodie for 1/3 of the price of a new one, and there were no stains on it! You'll never know where you'll find the best second-hand clothes. For shoes, wear anything that's comfy, just don't mix converse colors. Wear flats with skirts, sneakers with jeans. It's simple. If your parents allow (and your school!) you can wear wedge sandals, and even -short- heels to school on warmer days. But make sure you paint your toenails for extra glam!

How to act:

Again, no "be yourself". Never works. Big no-no. Instead, act a little dumb, but keep your grades up (in secret if you have to!). Be flirty, fun, and random. That's how to become really popular.

Hygiene:

BIG part of being popular. Shower once a day, wear deodorant ALL THE TIME, use perfume or body mist if your school doesn't have a policy (my old one did). Brush your teeth, and keep them white! Floss every day, and carry some at school, cause you never know when you'll get something green in your teeth.

Hair:

Straighten it every day, or curl it once in a while. Straightening is BIG in schools. Highlights are cool too! If you have blond hair, you can try streaks in your favorite color (just no browns! ugh!). Keep it healthy and shiny. If you have oily hair, or dandruff, use special shampoos for that. I recommend Herbal Essences. I use it. fabulous!
