Here's a good solution. Buy/borrow a hydraulic car jack and place it under the front axle frame or the frame of the tractor itself to jack up the front. To jack up the back place the jack under the rear axle frame. Remember to always put blocks under the mower next to the jack (make sure the blocks are the same height as you want the mower off the ground) so that if the jack fails or slips the mower will not fall on you. Keeping Safe is Keeping Alive.
I've done it two ways:
1. you can simply take a big floor jack, jack it up in the front, as high as it will go, and that will gain you acces to them. i use an air powered impact wrench, and works great.
2. This is the best way, and makes changing the blades much easier. take an engine hoist, tie some rope around the front axle supports, that the wheels bolt to (the big fat rectangular axle, that pivots, that the wheels are bolted to, NOT THE TIE RODS), then tie the rope to the hook on the end of the engine hoist, and jack it up, i have it so the mower is ALMOST standing up right like 75 degree angle. Then simply use an impact wrench and swap the blades out. I just used this method like 5 mins ago. took me less then 10 mins, including setting up the engine hoist, and the rope, lol.
I was looking on how to replace the belts, and just stumbled upon this post, and thought that since i just did it, i'd share, lol.
Good luck

You can also use one of those old bumper jacks. I find they go higher than a floor jack. Make sure you block it up so it doesn't fall off.
