Quite often problem of Outlook 2000, 2003 and 2007:
There is no best solution, just correction, which works in 95% cases.
Send all emails in plain text format (not html). There are three places, where to set it up:
1: in email editor, for particular mail, in option roll out window choose "plain text"
2: global settings. Go to Tools/Options/Email format and choose plain text again.
3: personalized settings for particular email address: double click on email address (contact) in address row, and again set up plain text.
If you combine second and third step, it works quite well. Or, go for another email client. What a pity I have MS Dynamics CRM, which is not compatible with Thunderbird... Good luck
