Honda civic 1988 and later before 1988 they were on the side of the fuel tank 1988 on the fuel pump is in the fuel tank. 1.Detach the cable from the negative Battery terminal.Releieve the fuel pressure from the system (Slitly on srew the Service bolt on fuel filter) 2. Remove the rear seat 3. unplug the electrical connectors from the fuel pump and sender unit. 4. Remove the fuel tank from the vehicle 5. remove the mounting nuts from the fuel tank, 6. remove the fuel pump from the tank. 7. Remove the sock filter from the end of the fuel filter. 8. Detach the pump from its brackets 9. installatin in reverse of removal.
