In windows 8/ 10, search for and run the file "MSCONFIG"
MSCONFIG allows you to disable tasks that are not needed that start when you get into windows. By doing this you decrease the amount of processing needed to do important tasks thus allowing your computer to run smoother. You can also access boot options from MSCONFIG as well allowing you to go into safe mode the next time you restart as an example.
MSConfig can be found in Microsoft's Windows operating system.
To use Msconfig, enter msconfig.exe in the Run dialog box.
