Movies in an appropriate format (.mov, .m4v. .Mp4 etc.) can be added to your iTunes library by dragging them over the iTunes icon in the Dock, or directly into the iTunes window if it is running. Selecting Add to Library... From the iTunes File menu (shortcut: Command O) will present you with a standard selection window from which you can select the movies you wish to add to your library.
Click on the movie name, and drag it to library. That should work.
if the movie is an .mp4 file is a simple drag an drop on itunes, if the movie is a .avi, .mpeg, mpg... you need to convert the file to mp4. i recommend ultra mpeg converter 4
To add a movie in a suitable format from your Mac to your iTunes library you can either drag it onto the iTunes icon in the Dock; drag it into the Library section (top left corner) of the iTunes window, or select Add to Library... from the iTunes File menu.
Convert the movie files to a filetype supported by Itunes. Then, add it via the File menu and selecting 'Add File to Library'.
Assuming that the movie has been downloaded from a source other than iTunes and you now wish to add it to the iTunes library you will need to check that the movie is in a format recognised by iTunes.
Click file, add file to library, then locate your movie. It will add it to your iTunes but if it is not in the mp4 format, it will not play on your iPod. To fix this you just need a video converter that will convert to iPod format.
Add them to your iTunes software library (on your computer), then when your iPod nano is connected via the cable you can drag them to your iPod Library. Clicking on the music's icon and dragging it into the iTunes window will add it to the iTunes library or select Add To Library... from the iTunes File menu.

To add songs one can simply drag them from a folder onto the Library portion of the side bar in iTunes. The songs will be converted into the format specified in one's iTunes' preferences. The file menu where it says import file to library and import folder to library can also be used to add media to iTunes.
Apple only allows us to import iTunes to iPhone, not add iPhone to iTunes library. If you want to add your files from iPhone to iTunes, you have to use a third party program.
You can use handbrake just go to http://handbrake.fr/ and select download then click the right download for you ( I want PC download!) then download the software. After that put a DVD in your laptop and the rest is pretty straightforward after you have saved it you can add it to your itunes library.
