You add 50/50 antifreeze water mix at the reservoir in your engine compartment.
It is located centered, under the windshield. This engine has to have the air bleed out very well. With engine OFF, turn the heater controls to maximum heat. On the thermostat housing, where upper radiator attaches, there are two thermosensors, with electrical connections and a 19mm plug in between them. Remove this plug and it's compression washer, add your antifreeze mix slowly to the reservoir. When you see antifreeze come out of this port, reinstall the plug with washer. There is a small bleed bolt, I think 8mm, that needs to be loosen. It is located on the top of the thermostat housing. Add coolant until it runs freely from the bleed bolt, then tighten it.
Continue to add antifreeze mix to proper level in reservoir.
Install cap in reservoir and start engine. Turn heater fan on max and monitor the temp gauge. You might have to repeat the bleeding process.
Crankshaft nut = 36mm. I tried removing mine last night.
you open the plastic bottle and pour in the antifreeze
Green
You can add it to the coolant reservoir. It's located in the top left corner of your engine. Make sure your car is cool before you add in the antifreeze.
Yes. Never add pure antifreeze. Pure antifreeze will actually freeze before a 50/50 mix. Add coolant that is a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and distilled water. You can buy it already pre-mixed.
in overflow jug
You can add antifreeze to water to prevent it from freezing.
you can add antifreeze in 2 places. If engine is cold, open radiator cap and poor directly in.Also there is a antifreeze reservor thatr you can poor it in if it is empty. Remember just add fluid until it comes up to the cold line on resv.
With the hood open, on the passenger side there is the overflow container for the rad. The cap might be pressurized if the engine is hot. You add the antifreeze there.
It doesn't have one per se. The antifreeze overflow serves as the car's radiator cap. If you need to add antifreeze, add it there.
To obtain a solution that is twenty percent antifreeze, you would add 4 parts water to 1 part antifreeze. This means that for every 1 part of antifreeze, you would add 4 parts of water. This would result in a total of 5 parts of solution, with 1 part being antifreeze and 4 parts being water, achieving a solution that is twenty percent antifreeze.
To disable the alarm on a 1989 BMW 735iL, locate the alarm control unit, which is typically found under the dashboard or in the trunk. Disconnect the battery to reset the system, or locate the alarm's fuse in the fuse box and remove it. If the alarm has a key fob or a manual override switch, using those could also disable the alarm. Always refer to the vehicle's owner manual for specific instructions related to your model.
