drink it as you deserve to die
drop the tranny pan and change the filter and after you put it back together add a bottle of Lucas transmission fix.
Keeping in mind that the same oil services both engine and transmission, honestly, I don't believe that the Lucas fix will fix your problem.
WHERE DO I PUT LUCAS TRANSMISSION FIX IN A 1992 AeroSTAR
try changing the tranny fluid and put a new filter in and add a bottle of Lucas transmission fix and pray.
According to Lucas, their product will not help transmissions that are mechanically unsound. If you can't shift into reverse, your transmission is mechanically unsound. So yes, major transmission work is required in this case.
you could if you want but I prefer lucas transmission fix.
If it is a transmission problem, the best thing you can do is have the transmission rebuilt. That will fix the problem and prevent any further damage to the transmission.
LUCAS transfix- large bottle
Bottle of Lucas transmission Fix, if that doesn't work, rebuild transmission
No, thay have never made anything in a can that will fix something. If you add stop leak to your transmission it will mess up the seals and you will have to have the transmission rebuilt. It would be best to just fix the leak and a whole lot cheaper.
Put some Lucas oil transmission fix in it. If that doesnt work then drive it till it blows, and put a used tranny back in it.
You can't the transmission on the 2002 Thunderbird is sealed. There is no distick or any way to add fluid other than through the ports on the transmission under the car. The dealer has to do that. It shouldn't need fluid unless it has a leak. If it is leaking it has to be done by a mechanic that will fix the leak and then drain the entire transmission and refill it through the ports on the bottom.
