No, thay have never made anything in a can that will fix something. If you add stop leak to your transmission it will mess up the seals and you will have to have the transmission rebuilt. It would be best to just fix the leak and a whole lot cheaper.
There isn't any way to add or check transmission fluid. The transmission is sealed. Look in your owners book to locate transmission, if there is no leaking then it is fine. You can always call a VW dealership if you are not satisfied with this answer.
you add it into the transmission. On one of the sides of the transmission/usualy the passenger side/ there will be a plug on the middle of the transmission, most likely will be an octagon inner tool. When you remove it the oil should start slowly leaking out,if not you need to add some. Pump it in till it starts to leak through the hole.
no, but you can replace the gasket entirely add the sealant ensuring a leak free fit.
You can't the transmission on the 2002 Thunderbird is sealed. There is no distick or any way to add fluid other than through the ports on the transmission under the car. The dealer has to do that. It shouldn't need fluid unless it has a leak. If it is leaking it has to be done by a mechanic that will fix the leak and then drain the entire transmission and refill it through the ports on the bottom.
I myself have an 02 ls v8. On my Lincoln there is no dipstick it has a sealed transmission. on mine there is no adding fluid. my best recommendation is to take it in to your local dealer. If you need to add fluid to your trans then something must be leaking. If your not fimilliar with your trans i highly recommend taking it to someone who knows to ensure there are no further problems. I hope i was of some help to you. good luck
it'll hurt it if you don't add fluid! Add fluid as recommended in our manual ( checking level after driving, running in Park). See a mechanic. Most leaks are not catastrophic, many times just a cooling line, etc.
i was driving my Toyota tacoma 2006 and start spilling oil iwas 30 miles far from the nearest town so i tried to add some fluid to my automatic transmission but there is no way so my transmission is burned out
Having to add collant & coolant leaking from the hose.
You don't. It has a sealed transmission. If you think something is wrong with tranny you should take it to someone. Hopefully you don't need a new transmission.
Under the hood you will find a cap that says TRANSMISSION, or something to that effect. The cap is attached to the top end of the transmission dip stick. Pull out the dipstick and add transmission fluid through the dip stick spout. Add the fluid slowly and check the level often, you don't want to overfill. When the level is somewhere between the add and full marks on the dip stick, you have a good level.
How do you add transmission fluid to a Nissan Altima with standard transmission?
You should never add transmission fluid to a Chevrolet 350 engine. You can add transmission fluid to the transmission through the transmission dipstick holder.
