I myself have an 02 ls v8. On my Lincoln there is no dipstick it has a sealed transmission. on mine there is no adding fluid. my best recommendation is to take it in to your local dealer. If you need to add fluid to your trans then something must be leaking. If your not fimilliar with your trans i highly recommend taking it to someone who knows to ensure there are no further problems. I hope i was of some help to you. good luck
Unless you have a LEAK you shouldn't have to add automatic transmission fluid on a regular basis
dipstick tube
Transmission fluid is usually added through the dipstick tube.
There is a fluid check/fill plug located on the front of the transmission. Add fluid there until it is level with the bottom of the hole.?æ
In the dip stick tube .
On the 2002 Mitsubishis Lancer , you add the transmission fluid down the dipstick tube. There is a specific fluid for manual transmissions , that information is in the manual under Fluid Capacities.
The fluid is added down the dipstick tube.
You add fluid at the same place you check it.
Use a funnel and on the passenger side in the back of the engine is a yellow dipstick that you will have to pull out and add transmission fluid through where you pulled the dipstick out.
Should be a plug on the side of transmission - fill to this level
On a 2000 Lincoln Town Car : Using a funnel you add automatic transmission fluid through the dipstick tube The tube is located near the firewall , at the rear of the engine ( front of transmission ) on the passenger side of the engine in the engine compartment
You add fluid at the same place you check the fluid level. Takes a special funnel. If there is no place to check the level, then it is a sealed for life transmission.
